“My mission at FredRock is to support local music, provide a safe venue for young musicians and fans to enjoy live music and most importantly, establish a network to connect local fans, bands and visual artists to make sure all that is beautiful in Frederick has a chance to survive and prosper. We have already done amazing things in our short one year history. Bands are no longer forced into playing at smoky bars due to a lack of appropriate music venues. We have created our own music community here in Frederick, Maryland."

We seek to redefine how the "music industry" works. We focus on safety, support and development of our youth and their talents, rather than the profit margin. And best of all, we raise funds and awareness for good causes by giving portions of our proceeds to charity. This month, I will be supporting TASAAGA , a Ugandan AIDS relief organization.

I started these events to support my band, Time Columns, and spread our music to new crowds in Frederick, but also to build a home for all the bands and musicians in the Frederick and greater DelMarVa area.  Rather than jumping into the rat race of sketchy venues and booking agents in faraway places, we brought the venue to us and have succeeded enormously. The positive vibes at FredRock are enormous. We are truly moving mountains for the art and music community. ”
Kenny has a great mission, so come out and support his efforts and 24 local bands this Saturday July 31st from noon till midnight.  For more information visit:
